The Purpose of Art

ART in its simplest form is a means of communication. It attempts to achieve the basic human instinct for harmony, balance and beauty. Unlike science or the written word due to its abstract nature art is somewhat of a mystery as the human response to it is unique to each individual.

You may find in browsing this site that some pieces may resonate with you more than others. A particular landscape more relatable to a memory from your life or an abstract may generate a sense of wellbeing, emotion or mystery for your own imagination to complete.

Welcome to my world of art.

We absolutely love this piece of artwork for our cottage Bob. It adds color and warmth to our place. People comment on it when they come to visit. I enjoy telling the story of how we came to obtain this piece of art from you and especially that it was entitled "Birthplace of Our Love." This cottage has been in our family for over 40 years, there have been many love stories, many beginnings. It couldn't be more perfect.

Thank you.

It's fun to see your piece in so many of our family photos over the years. Our son grows and changes, the background decor changes, but your painting is always there adding extra brilliance and joy. It's such a treasure.

It's absolutely beautiful. You've captured something that I love personally and captured the heart of the painting. You showed me that you don't just listen but you understand. The painting has really brought life into my home and it's very special to me. I was also impressed with your installation service in hanging the piece in the perfect spot.
